In the film The Other Side of Everything, documentary filmmaker Mila Turajlić paints a sensitive portrait of her mother Srbijanka Turajlić, a political activist who played an important role in Serbia's recent history, especially after Slobodan Milošević came to power in 1989, which she vehemently opposed. This portrait recalls large parts of the country's painful history over the last century.
